The point is that when the United States becomes entangled in the internal affairs of foreign countries either by force of arms or “aid” ( Germany, Japan, Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan, Vietnam etc) it becomes also responsible for outcomes be they good or bad.

Well no.

I know that is the liberal point of view but it is wrong. Just as wrong as the idea that if I sold a man a gun I am responsible for either his being able to shoot a deer to feed his family or for robbing a bank.

I am not. I gave him a tool. I did not go out into the woods with him nor was I his getaway driver. The outcome good or bad belongs to him not to me.

When you give someone tools you are not responsible for what they decide to do with them outside of very narrow exceptions.
