Texas Officials, Activists to Holder on Voter ID: If It’s War You Want, It’s War You’ve Got
PJ Media ^ | 7/25/13 | Bryan Preston

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is responding quickly and forcefully to Obama Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to rope Texas back into the Voting Rights Act. The US Supreme Court just struck part of that law down.-snip-The facts are on Abbott’s side. Texas specifically modeled its voter ID law on Indiana’s. That law has already been taken all the way to the US Supreme Court and was upheld. The Texas law enjoys widespread support across all ethnicities in the state. Only the Texas Democrat Party and its allies oppose it.

The Obama administration has been very consistent about opposing laws that buttress election security, and it has been very consistent about punishing states that don’t get in line with Obama’s radical agenda. Holder’s lawsuit is just another example of both.

The lawsuit comes just after Abbott announced his run for governor. It will give him a major platform from which to oppose Obama and Holder, which will play very well in Texas. Frankly, Abbott was already heavily favored to win. Now he’s all but a lock.

Update: Texas Gov. Rick Perry posted the following statement on his Facebook page.

“Once again, the Obama Administration is demonstrating utter contempt for our country’s system of checks and balances, not to mention the U.S. Constitution. This end-run around the Supreme Court undermines the will of the people of Texas, and casts unfair aspersions on our state’s common-sense efforts to preserve the integrity of our elections process.”

Wonder what it would take to remove federalism from a state, i.e. close federal offices, pass laws restricting federal reach, etc. I would think much of it would be within the bounds of the Constitution.

Are Blacks trying to FORCE Whites to think they are INCAPABLE in Life, so much that they are TOO STUPID and INCOMPETENT to get an ID????

OK....UNCLE!!! You've convinced me.. I guess you all NEED to be Taken Care of by Whites because you can't take care of yourselves.....OK.

Kris Kobach, attorney general from Kansas, already threw down that gauntlet about three months ago.

Go Texas...take Holder rip off his arm and beat him about his head and shoulders with the bloody end...politically speaking of course.

Gov Perry should have all the militia-eligible males “numbered”, biblical-style. That is the ultimate and final message that needs to be sent.

He knows Abbott is going to win the governor’s race, so he wants to test his battle readiness.

We discussed this over coffee this morning and came to the conclusion that this could be a challenge for Abbott.
Depending on how hard Abbott fights this, and whether he wins or loses, could mean a lot to his run for Governor.

IOW, if he rolls over (unlikely) we don't think he'll ever warm Perry's chair.
OTOH if he plays hardball and sends Holder packing, thoroughly beaten, he might as well start measuring for drapes.

We’ll see what happens. If he does crumble, don’t feel ashamed, you could always vote for Pauken. Remember, it’s easy to say you have a ‘spine of steel,’ but once you start taking flak and you’re in crisis mode you really don’t know how you’ll react until that moment of truth comes. Trust me I know. Look at Sarah Palin. She endured her mission, but still she must work hard to regain respect. US Rep. Paul Ryan was a fireball conservative, but during the Romney campaign he still hasn’t regained his conservative creds and looks unwilling to battle the MSM again.

So are you going to post that creepy pic of Rove sneaking up behind Abbott?

For the life of me, i don’t see how any self-respecting Texan with at least a 50 I.Q. could vote Democrat. Among other things, the dems denied God 3 times at their convention! That right there should have been enough to change their minds, much less all the gun-grabbing, IRS bullying, and NSA spying behavior.

It goes against everything a true Texan holds important in life: The right to worship as you please; the right to defend self and property ; and the right to speak out against politicians and other idiots without being persecuted.

Sounds tempting to post the Rove-Abbott photo, but I will refrain from doing so until Obama makes a fundraising trip to Texas and he brings along Eric Holder and then you will see that Abbott doesn’t arrest Holder on Texas premises. The photo will provide my explanation for why Abbott chickened out on those so-called arrest orders.
