Old reliable. If we are attacked by EMP, you would either be totally unaffected or up and running with a quick points and coil change.
Points would be ok, the cap on the coil would be bad as well as the alternator. Your radio would be fried too.
Actually the cap would only be hit if the points were open.
if you had a generator, it would be fine.
