More importantly, he is TRUTHFUL!
From the very first time I saw an “Afterburner” episode, I was hooked. Every week my brother and I get together, and one of the first things we do is login to PJTV.com to see if there is any new content by him.
I have not seen one single work by this man that has not moved me. I know he is an entertainer.
But so was Ronald Reagan.
I would love to see Bill Whittle, with his “Virtual Presidency” get involved in the real one next election cycle. Even if he just runs for no other purpose than to inject his brand of logic and commonsense into the presidential electoral dialogue with not even the pretense of running to win, I would love to see it.
Just think how liberating it would be to hear the voice of someone who has no need to pander.
I know it is a fantasy, but can you see this dialogue being injected into the presidential (or any national political) conversation?
MODERATOR: “I would like each of you to comment on the Trayvon Martin tragedy.”
DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE: “It was a travesty. It shows how flawed our preoccupation with 2nd Amendment rights is, and highlights the plight of being a young black man in America today. He was racially profiled and the sentence was delivered by a white man, while the perverted wheels of justice in this country worked to exculpate him.”
REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE: “This was an unfortunate incident for everyone involved. I agree we need to have a dialogue on better control on gun ownership, while protecting our 2nd Amendment rights. Even though the civil liberties of Trayvon Martin were likely violated, we have to respect the result of the legal system, as unpalatable as it may be.
BILL WHITTLE: “This is a case that should never have been brought to trial. It is an open and shut case of self-defense, and instead of being a “perverted wheels of justice that exculpated him” or “the result of the legal system, as unpalatable as it may be”, it should instead be a cautionary tale of a man who narrowly avoided a legal lynching by a system being wielded against him on behalf of a White House and Justice Department with an agenda that the majority of Americans disagree with.”
