Not only is free trade good for us, so is overwhelming illegal immigration. Or so say our fearless leaders.

How highly should I be taxed on plastic lawn furniture, in order that the U.S. has the fastest super computer?

I just find it odd that you want to increase my taxes because others are breaking the law. Par for the course, I suppose. The government can’t solve the illegal immigration problem, so let’s get the government to tax us even more . . . everyone aboard?

I don't feel like letting this go, just yet:

right now, in my immediate vicinity, there are a couple hundred Mexicans who will perform the job I perform for my clients for less money--how exactly will having the government make me pay more $ at Wal-Mart when I need something solve the problem?

You meant to say that, "you could not care less how I feel." Is English your second language?

By your logic EVERY...

Let's stop right there.  In the first place, I don't use flaky words like 'anymore' or 'every'.  That cr@p comes from your side.  In the second place, I'm not the one saying industrial production is up, it's your federal reserve that's saying it.

...the tariff should be imposed on you...

We're all entitled to our own opinion.

Nobody's entitled to his own reality and what we got is back in the '40's America chose the lower tariffs that came with more jobs and higher incomes.  Most people's opinion is that these days we got enough problems with the Great Recession without trying to restart the Great Depression.
