RE :”In the wake of the jury's acquittal of Zimmerman, Obama weighed in again, this time exploiting the entire event, just as he had the Sandy Hook shootings, to promote gun control. “That's the way to honor Trayvon Martin,” he said, unmistakably signaling that he is still heavily invested in the case as a matter of race.

While the above is no surprise more than that the progressives (libs) are blaming ‘stand your ground’ laws for this and are talking about repealing those, or at least now marching and protesting against those laws.

They are making the case that those laws are racially biased because blacks are never allowed to use them in court,
and that in the case of FL it was the instructions to the jury that got the acquittal : ‘which told jurors that Zimmerman was allowed to use deadly force when he shot the teen not only if he actually faced death or bodily harm, but also if he merely thought he did.’

“‘which told jurors that Zimmerman was allowed to use deadly force when he shot the teen not only if he actually faced death or bodily harm, but also if he merely thought he did.’”

I wonder if their suspicion is that the possible fall-out of all this means open season on all the “gangsta’s” out there who daily parade themselves in varying degrees of intimidation. Rather than take a good hard look at what is happening to the hard-wiring of today’s youth with the affects of rap or hard-core metal and ultra-violent movies and video games, the attention on guns and stand-your-ground laws puts the focus on those who try to go about their daily lives not encountering/not offending the over-hyped, judgmentally-challenged youth of today who, for the sin of walking in ‘my ‘hood’ or daring to “disrespect” by making eye-contact, will assail you with a threatening glare or vile words...or worse.
