If I understand the farm bill, we guarantee money to some farms and then we tell them they can’t raise the price.............of milk for example.
The opposite of capitalism.
I was raised on a farm. In church, we would here about people starving in Africa. Then a man from the government would come around to inspect our farm to guarantee that certain fields lay fallow, and he would give dad a check for those fields to remain unproductive.
My dad was a really smart man. I asked him to explain the contradiction to me, starving kids and getting paid not to grow food.
He couldn’t.
