I agree that a hung jury is the best the defense can hope for. Some, if not all the jurors will want to go for manslaughter to avoid rioting and targeting of themselves.

I think it is the worst case scenario.

There is no case for manslaughter. To convict of manslaughter they would have to ignore the same defense evidence that results in a not guilty for murder 2.

Would you send a man to prison for decades just to make a mom feel better. A mom of a son, that when missing, dad’s first call is to juvi?
