Paul Ryan Leading House for 'Amnesty' Deal
NewsMax ^ | June 29, 2013

Paul Ryan, the Republican congressman and former vice-presidential candidate best known for his war on spending, is emerging as his party's leading champion of immigration reform in the U.S. House of Representatives.

With Senate passage of a sweeping immigration bill imminent, Ryan has been meeting with House conservatives to persuade them that reform of the immigration system, including a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, is an economic necessity and critical to fixing the nation's fiscal problems.

Ryan, a potential 2016 presidential contender, sees himself as a "bridge builder" between immigration advocacy groups and reluctant Republicans, he said in an interview with Reuters.

He argues that the immigration system is broken and must be overhauled. "It doesn't work for national security. It doesn't work for economic security," Ryan said.

Ryan is doing this with gutless Boehner’s blessing.

Absolutely.
More than just his "blessing" - - try, his rabid encouragement.

Deeply disappointing. The scary thing is that he can be effective. If he gets his Bill passed in the House, they’ll send it to conference and try to meld it with the Senate. The result will be worse than either Bill. Better for the House to pass nothing.

But, Congress can’t seem to do nothing. They have to meddle constantly with bad results.

Also from interview with Ingraham

Ryan locked horns with Laura Ingraham on Friday during a radio interview

… “When the baby boomers retire — we’re not like Europe, we’re not like Japan, where their birth rates are really low, but they’re not high enough. Immigration, in a decade or so, can help us,” Ryan said.

Ingraham pushed back against Ryan’s claims, citing the Congressional Budget Office’s report on the economic impacts of the impending bill.

“If the amnesty happens, those people are going to be able to compete across every job line, across every employment sector,” Ingraham said. “And the CBO report said that this approach … would drive wages down. How can Paul Ryan, the man behind the growth agenda, say that driving American wages down is a good thing over the next twelve years, for that class that is struggling in Wisconsin and beyond?” link

Even if the House passes a “border security bill” the Senate will merge it with their horrible Amnesty bill.

Only chance to stop the Amnesty bill is for the House not to consider any immigration related bill at all.

Michelle Bachman explained it. ANY House bill no matter if it promises all the border security in the world will be a trojan horse.NO bill at all must come out of the House because it will be merged with the Senate Amnesty and trojan horse bill. Call congress.

Tell them to stop all Amnesty or immigration bills.they are all trojan horse bills. some will promise border security that will never be enforced anyway.

Bachmann explained it . The House will write a border security bill only . then in conference the senate will add the virus and then bring it back to the house. then the conservatives won’t vote for it but democrats will all vote for it so then they only need 10% of republicans to pass Amnesty and the virus that will destroy America. so any bill at all will be added the virus . so best thing is for Boner to not let any immigration bill at all come out of the House. that is the only hope . call boner and the members of the House.

Tom Tancredo echos what Michelle Bachmann said.

call congress . no bill at all from the House

Ryan appears to be compromised.

Now just how could someone on the other side pull him into compliance with the destroy America crowd.

Hmmm.

Probably not Hillary!’s 900 files, he was too young back then.

Hmmm.

Gosh, it’s a quandry.

Currying favor with Libs always leads to them stabbing conservatives in the back. Ryan harms himself greatly by being so naive.

Re this BS “it’s not amnesty” spew; If Ryan is the mouth piece for congress on this, you can bet Bonehead has already decided to pass it regardless of what he is saying. The biggest question is which of the senators and congressman who are betraying all Americans should be tarred and feather first. The gang of 8 and the leadership would be just the start.

It is that but even worse

The democrats plan is to import 80 million 3rd worlders so that they can turn the USA into a socialist state where they not only take your job but your money and property and liberty too. then once the USA is destroyed then democrats can destroy liberty in the world forever ushering in a dark age like the world has never seen as Stalin never had the big brother tech silicon valley is giving this Obama monster to further oppress us and take every thing away from us including our ability to survive.

and Ryan and Rubio are helping the democrats, also Ayotte and graham

Well, I guess this is it for me. My first vote was for Nixon in ‘68. (When, I might ad, the voting age was 21) Been voting Republican ever since. If amnesty passes the house I’m done with the GOP. They can kiss my ass and will never get another dime from me.
I am open to a third party. Conservative Party?...

Paul Ryan is quite literally the 21st century equivalent of Benedict Arnold.

I am beyond disgusted at a man I once held in the highest of regards. Another lesson in the evil that seemingly honest men can actually hide when one has the ability to lie without compunction.

I will be donating money to whomever primaries Paul Ryan going forward.

Ryan, a potential 2016 presidential contender, sees himself as a "bridge builder" between immigration advocacy groups and reluctant Republicans, he said in an interview with Reuters.

Even Ryan seems to have been bit by the now documented D.C. Moron Virus.

"Reluctant Republicans?"
I am not a Republican.
I am a registered Democrat.
I have no plans to change registration. I have never accepted the "My party right or wrong" stupidity. If I have a brain I think I am intended to use it.
I am a fiscal and social conservative. For me, there are principles not ever subject to compromise.

The progressives never compromise. They may over-demand and then seem to compromise by taking only 40% if what we have after demanding 60%.

They promise anything, with no intention of ever actually delivering.
O'Hussein even explained it once...

“It’s easy to make phony Promises you can’t keep.”

The administration refuses to perform its Constitutional duty of protecting the states from invasion, and these idiots in the Congress just roll over and give them everything they want.

Our elected representatives are asleep at the switch as our beloved country is dismantled, piece by piece.

I’m open to a 3rd party too. Have to start somewhere. These fake conservatives are gleefully contributing to the demise of the USA as we know it. What’s Ryan’s phone number. We need to flood with calls. I can’t believe the stupidity of these idiots. The Mexicans will never vote Republican-never.
