Today, June 28th, is DAY #15 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. [Yesterday] … it was simply not a very good day at all for the prosecution. The primary State witnesses today were Rachel Jeantel, Jenna Lauer, and Selma Mora.
The first had her credibility substantively destroyed, the second was powerfully–almost humiliatingly–co-opted by the defense, and the third provided testimony entirely consistent with the defense’s theory of lawful self-defense. (continue reading)

Worked for awhile with our local juvenile center. She may have been allowed to speak with her “officer” Which would have explained her change the second day. Am betting you are right and she is still in the program. It would explain a lot We don’t know what is in her probation requirements.
The welfare rolls. They become recruited by the DHHS and take some psychology classes. Then they become a bureaucRAT or politician....either way...still a "taker".
Doesn’t the defense have the right to impeach her with that information???

Riding bikes would have been an acceptable activity to the questioner an excellent example of manipulating so she does not upset the questioner.
Another was her first comment “we laugh around”. Laughing would be acceptable. Phone sex. Like the text she mentioned she would have to deny, minimize or ignore
Eating to the point of obesity is one of the coping techniques of a young girl who has been used sexually. Get “fat enough they’ll leave me alone” have heard more than once. They also self medicate with drugs and alcohol to help forget and deal with the pain
The time might be past for that in this trial, but good for civil claims. Her abnormal speech patterns should make for light work.
I think RJ has spoken for Witness 8 all along, and is the core of the W8 composite, augmented by coaching to say whatever the Scheme Team “wanted”. RJ’s testimony that someone else used her phone to text and speak with TM begs the question of whether RJ was the original hearer of any or all of whatever came through TM’s phone in the critical moments. Unless West knew the answers to this from depo, it seems odd that this was not pursued in court, at least to raise the idea in juror’s minds. Probably wasn’t necessary. RJ’s presentation probably told the jurors all they needed to know about TM’s character.
I bet Tracy Martin told Sybrina 100 times that this girl was a complete flake who would sink them. When Sybrina was fit to be tied and staring daggers at RJ, I think Tracy was laughing at his ex and the absurdity of it all.

In Florida, the defendant doesn't have the power to prevent inclusion of necessarily included lesser offenses. In this case, manslaughter. The judge doesn't have the discretion either, the jury MUST be given the lesser included charge of manslaughter.
There are a handful of permissive lesser included offenses that may or may not be instructed to the jury. In order for an instruction on a permissive lesser included charge to be presented to the jury, the elements of the crime must be stated in the indictment/information, and must be supported by competent evidence.
See State v. Johnson, an old case (you can skip this one), and State v. Wimberly, cited in a 2013 case ...
A trial court must instruct on necessarily lesser-included offenses and permissive lesser-included offenses when supported by the evidence at trial. State v. Wimberly, 498 So. 2d 929, 932 (Fla. 1986).

If she is still in the program they will use her testimony to move forward. Just as they used her previous statements. She didn’t come to the realization of lying and why she lied in those by herself. She’s been receiving help.
IMO MOM knew that and was working within those boundaries, just as he was working with Z s medical. ( we will find his calm demeaner after fighy was drug induced. )
In order to find Zimmerman guilty of manslaughter, the jury is going to have to conclude, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Zimmerman's use of deadly force was not justified.

Yeh -- their son didn't know the difference between a puppy and a full grown rottweiler. Neither did they.
Coping mechanism for an abused child. If an intervention is not done it can turn into more serious mental illness. From her dealing with some of her past lies and why she lied that intervention is being done.
That is/should be the goal of juvenile programs
If caught early enough the results can be very startling.
At this point she is still the victim trying to survive The goal is to have her break the cycle of abuse

How can ANY credence be given total asses who defend Saint Trayvon and actually think that the knuckle-dragger Jeanel gave "outstanding" testimony? And that the witnesses so far have been "devastating" to Zimmerman's defense? I'm pinching myself to see if I'm still alive.

They use a known juvenile delinquent to railroad an innocent man and try to hide that from the public and the defense all the way to the trial.
That "minor child, puppy love" prefabrication was all intended to give her handlers a full year to train her for her performance in court and it showed.

Yesterday they all acted so surprised when John testified that Martin was on top beating Zimmerman as if this was the first time that anyone has said this.
Everyone has known this for over a year — even the Trayvon Martin supporters — and the Talking Torsos act like they are hearing this for the first time.
