MEXICO CITY, Mexico The US Senate's proposal to dramatically beef up border enforcement has forced Mexican officials to break cover and issue a loud complaint that may prove counter productive.
Aiming to win House approval of a sweeping immigration reform, a Senate committee last week voted to earmark some $46 billion to double the size of the US Border Patrol and to build some 700 more miles of anti-migrant fencing along the US-Mexico border.

Maybe we need to replay “The Halls of Montezuma.”
I notice they have no problem enforcing their own immigration laws against their Southern neighbors and anyone else sneaking in.
I do believe our Anointed One, just loves stepping in it.
(even if he is stepping in his own)
TT
Now would be a good time for millions of Mexicans with millions of Mexican flags to start marching and shouting their demands.

The General Law on Population enacted in Mexico in April 2000, which mandates that federal, local and municipal police cooperate with federal immigration authorities in that country in the arrests of illegal immigrants.
Under the Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison. Immigrants who are deported and attempt to re-enter can be imprisoned for 10 years. Visa violators can be sentenced to six-year terms. Mexicans who help illegal immigrants are considered criminals.
The law also says Mexico can deport foreigners who are deemed detrimental to economic or national interests, violate Mexican law, are not physically or mentally healthy or lack the necessary funds for their sustenance and for their dependents.
Fence schmintz!
Folks, if we never have another illegal cross our borders, what happens if we legalize 30 million now, they bring over 4 relatives each, and we up the legal quota from Mexico to 2 million per year? What do we wind up with in twenty years?
That’s 190,000,000 new citizens in under 20 years.
Is that your idea of a fix to all this? It’s not my idea of one.
Not until this monstrosity is passed...
Then look for it. It will be right in your face.
We’re not going to build it in MEXICO!
we’re going to build it on the AMERICAN BORDER.
How simple is that?
I wonder how they’d feel if rapatious gangs of
Norte Americano Vigilantes were crossing into
the south and stringing up Drug lords and gang
bangers and then hot footing it back across?
“I notice they have no problem enforcing their own immigration laws against their Southern neighbors and anyone else sneaking in.”
I said today to one of our friends that I would be perfectly happy for Congress to pass laws modeled after Mexican immigration laws.
The officials in Mexico City are no doubt Democrats because they’re howling loudly with the prospect of their gravy train being affected.
I say this to Mexico: FU.
But it’s OK for Mexico to put death squads on their southern border. Hipócritas.
On another note, Obama promises a ten million dollar grant to poor Mexicans to buy ladders. /s
If we wanted to stop immigration, instead of spending hundreds of millions of more money borrowed from the Chinese, we could just stop giving our retirements away to illegal immigrants.
Perhaps have a three week class on the meaning of the word “illegal” at social security administrations and welfare offices across the land.
Save a couple Trillion over the next few years.
Stop putting out goodies and the freeloaders will freeload somewhere closer to home.
Silly Mexicans...
Don’t believe what our congresscritters say—WE certainly don’t.
They do have somwething to say: “How tall do our ladders have to be?”
Yes, and march on their own country to clean up their own corruption. That would be a real good start.
Hmm...think I will ask a few house reps that very question!
The ‘Fence’ is a distraction. It is useless if the political opportunists we elect refuse to deport the foreign nationals who get past the border.
40% of the illegals living here come on visas and simply never go home.
A fence does nothing to solve that. It requires deportation.
