26% of Obama Supporters View Tea Party as Nationís Top Terror Threat
rasmussen reports ^ | 26 jun 13 | rasmussen

Posted on 06/27/2013 6:29:05 AM PDT by white trash redneck

Half of all voters consider radical Muslims the bigger terrorist threat facing the nation, but supporters of President Obama consider the Tea Party to be as big a danger.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 51% of Likely U.S. Voters consider radical Muslims to be the bigger threat to the United States today. Thirteen percent (13%) view the Tea Party that way, and another 13% consider other political and religious extremists to be the larger danger. Six percent (6%) point to local militia groups. Two percent (2%) see the Occupy Wall Street movement as the bigger terrorist threat. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

However, among those who approve of the president’s job performance, just 29% see radical Muslims as the bigger threat. Twenty-six percent (26%) say it’s the Tea Party that concerns them most. Among those who Strongly Approve of the president, more fear the Tea Party than radical Muslims.

As for those who disapprove of Obama’s performance, 75% consider radical Muslims to be the bigger terrorist threat. Just one percent (1%) name the Tea Party.

How did you do in this week’s Rasmussen Challenge? Check the leaderboard .

(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls). Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook.

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on June 22-23, 2013 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

Interestingly, while the Occupy movement was allegedly targeting the “one percent”, upper income Americans are more likely than others to see the Tea Party as the bigger terror threat. Among those who earn six-figure incomes, 21% consider the Tea Party the bigger threat, while just two percent (2%) say the same of the Occupy movement. Among Americans who earn less than $30,000 a year, 12% see the Tea Party as the bigger threat, and seven percent (7%) say that description best applies to the Occupy movement.

The Tea Party received a boost in popularity earlier this year following revelations that the Internal Revenue Service targeted it and other conservative groups. Most voters believe the targeting was politically motivated and that the decision was made in Washington.

Conservatives overwhelmingly see radical Muslims as the greater terror threat. Liberals are fairly evenly divided between radical Muslims and the Tea Party.

Twenty percent (20%) of government workers see the Tea Party as the nation’s bigger terror threat. Twelve percent (12%) of private sector workers hold that view.

Most voters today believe the federal government is a threat to individual rights.

Sixty-seven percent (67%) of voters think it is at least somewhat likely that terrorist groups will soon gain access to nuclear weapons, including 34% who feel it is Very Likely.

However, 57% believe economic challenges represent the biggest threat to the United States. Half as many (27%) see terrorist attacks as the biggest threat.

Yep, I remember in 2010 those (white) grannies in their lawnchairs at the Tea Party rallies, pretty scary.

100% of Tea Party sees Obama as as Nation’s Top Threat to freedom, liberty, the (natural) family andthe nation’s moral values.

Does anyone doubt what the leftists will do if they achieve total power? They have demonized average Americans to their base and have been successful to the point that they view traditional Americans as alien, violent, and worthy of extermination.

There you have it: The TEA Party as in people who have worked hard to earn what they have and want some limits on how much of it they have to share with the parasitic class.

How does this differ from the greedy farmer in the old Aesop's fable of the goose who laid the golden egg? He blames the goose for not laying faster than one egg per day.

And they said that the Red Scare was unfounded hysteria about Communist infiltration into the State Department, academia, and the media.

Truth won out on that one that Red cells directed by the USSR were active from coast to coast.

Meanwhile the fear of violence or treason from the Tea Party is 100% unfounded.

Obamunism is Stalinist. We are living in an Orwellian nightmare and Red Dupes are the threat.

Starting sometime during the Bush43 presidency, I would see articles about people "dropping" other individuals as friends due to political differences. Perhaps reflecting the demographics of the people who would write these articles, it would usually be a leftard dropping a conservative friend, rather than vice versa. In fact, during this last election cycle, two leftards "dropped" me over Facebook posts.

I always thought this was pretty childish, and never severed ties with any of my remaining leftard friends.

Recently, I have to say that I am reconsidering, and this latest article from Rasmussen really makes me question whether I want anything at all to do with people who view me as a species of vermin, the same way Nazis (OK, I just violated Godwin's Law) viewed Jews and Gypsies.

This is one more example of why a Republic cannot long exist with universal suffrage.

Fifty percent of voters are of below average intelligence. Of this lower half, fifty percent of them are imbeciles, thus Obama’s approval rating will never fall much under forty percent.

The same thing applies to the GOP, and explains W’s approval staying above 35 percent and the continued presence of folk like Graham, McCain, Alexander and other squishes.

Women have been voting for 90 years or so, and blacks have had fair access for about the last 50, and look how far we have come.

Bring out a current event quiz like Leno uses as a qualifier to vote.

A person from Obama’s demographic called into Hannity right after the IRS thing broke and she said she was happy that the IRS was being used this way against conservatives (by which she meant white people).

The bomanation regime is at war with all who believe in the creator God of Israel and His anointed son and coming King of the earth, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour of them that believe Him.

Left Is Certain of Tea Partiers’ Motives, but Finds Terrorists Inscrutable

http://www.speroforum.com/a/32609/Left-Is-Certain-of-Tea-Partiers-Motives-but-Finds-Terrorists-Inscrutable

While it cannot be proven, there is little reason to doubt that many on the Left are disappointed that the Times Square bomber didn’t turn out to be the “white male” he was originally identified as.

This allegation may be wrong, but it is made on the basis of compelling evidence.

There is a perfectly clear pattern on the Left — the normative Left, not just the “far” Left — that denies the obvious when it comes to Islamic terrorism. Take, for example, Maj. Nidal Hasan, who murdered 13 fellow soldiers and tried to murder the 32 others whom he wounded at Fort Hood, Texas.

For days after the murders, liberal-Left commentators and mainstream media reports attributed Hasan’s mass murders to everything but his Islamic beliefs — even though it was known that he yelled out “Allahu Akbar” (”Allah is the Greatest”) just as he began his shooting.

As “Hardball’s” Chris Matthews announced, “It’s unclear if religion was a factor in this shooting,” and then added, “He makes a phone call or whatever, according to Reuters right now. Apparently he tried to contact al-Qaida ... That’s not a crime, to call up al-Qaida, is it?”
