WAUSAU was the wholesome American city that was touted in the old insurance commercials, until immigration turned it into something else.
What’s it like due to immigration? Is it illegal Mexicans or “refugee” Somalis or something else?

I was born there and still have relatives living there.
It’s not the same Wausau I remembered. It’s become a very Balkanized city - the upper middle and upper class white collar professionals, the blue collar workers and the Hmong.
There is not a great deal of interaction between these three groups.
