So we’ll burn it in China with ZERO smog controls instead of here.
Happy, Enviro-Pinheads??
That is ironic. If we burned the same coal here instead of shipping it almost anywhere else in the world except Europe, the CO2 emissions would be probably 1/3 or less. Plus the CO2 produced by the rail engine, ship engine, etc. to ship it half way around the world.
The last two years at the home shows here in NH there have been booths with coal fired furnaces. Their main selling point was that it was cheaper than propane or heating oil.
Most of these furnaces burn pelletized washed anthracite coal. They came with a hopper that would hold 3-5 days worth of coal. You would only need to empty the ash pan about once every couple weeks.
The payoff based on the current price of coal to oil was about 5 years, even if you did not need to replace your current furnace.
It's our secret plan to kill off the Chinese via particulate induced lung disease LOL.
We are becoming a banana republic, except we don’t produce bananas.
