They will lose political support if you have one group of people paying taxes, and a different group of people who can expect to live their entire life on the dole.

Only true when the people paying taxes have the ability to outvote those "liv(ing) their entire life on the dole."

Once the tipping point has been reached (and at a national level it has here in the US) political support will expand, and continue to do so right up until economic collapse.

Try to support locally owned businesses not big national businesses and try to pay in cash as this allows business owners to do their own creative book keeping. Know what I mean?
