House Speaker John Boehner today called NSA leaker Edward Snowden a “traitor” who put Americans at risk by releasing classified information to the media. “He’s a traitor,” the highest ranking Republican in the House of Representatives said in an extensive interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. “The disclosure of this information puts Americans ... continued here

I’m convinced that Boehner and high ranking politicians on both sides of the isle not only knew about the wide spread NSA surveillance but also were instrumental in setting it up.

At risk from what terrorists?

The only terrorists the feds seem to be able to catch are the morons dumb enough to buy fake explosives from them. The terrorists we willfully import seem to be the ones that succeed.

The LAX bomber was caught by an alert border guard.

The underwear bomber failed due to his own incompetence and his own father warned us about him.

The Boston Bombers succeeded despite direct warnings and red flags all over the place.

The Ft Hood shooter was throwing red flags up all over the place and he was rewarded with promotions.

no no no no and no

we have to keep fighting, but we need to make perfectly crystal clear to the conservative side that there will be no compromise with evil. None of this pragmatic garbage.

We need your credit card information and everything you say, think, and do, everywhere you go, what you believe, any prayers you might post, what groups you belong to, who you voted for or who you plan on voting for, how many abortions you’ve had, how many guns you own, who you donated to, the names and all communications of all your family and associates, where you worship, everything your kids say think or do, when their band practice is over, all the photos from their slumber parties, vacations, etc....the whole enchilada...

And DON’T WORRY!!! Your personal information is ALL kept from the prying eyes of your Benevolent Overlords by a couple of pieces of paper...a little something we call...SEARCH WARRANT™* and WIRETAPPING LAWS™**

(*SEARCH WARRANT™ subject to Judge Shopping™ and Overly Broad Sweeps™

**WIRETAPPING LAWS™ notoriously violated by administrations to the point it’s a cliche’ — Results not guaranteed)

We MUST have all this and MORE, to keep you safe. TRUST BIG BROTHER.

The entire political class of both parties have ignored the Constitution (which may now be a “keyword”) for so long that I don’t believe they grasp the implications of what the NSA is doing.

We know there are “safeguards” built-in ..and I don’t doubt for a minute that many if not most of NSA abide by them yet the reason we HAVE the amendments is to protect us from those seduced by power- from those who cannot or will not resist that seduction..

It’s no surprise that people with the mindset that government’s role is to protect us from every scenario, who believe that government’s role is to right every perceived injustice, that government’s role is to provide for as many people as possible, would be in favor of government amassing mountains of information about the people it claims to represent.

He is not a traitor, he is a hero, our people are supposed to keep government straight and that is what he has risked everything to do. we are in charge of the government, not the other way around.

What’s really pathetic in this is that regardless of his motives, whatever they truly are, the man did America a true service. And yet, many of the very people (conservatives) who bemoaned the fact that no one would blow the whistle and expose this admin from within, now condemn him as a chicom spy. for doing EXACTLY what they hoped for.

I heard several yesterday say, “He (Snowden) shouldn’t have done things this way. He should have brought this to the attention of Congress.”

Can you believe it! Not only are they the ones who initiated all of this with the Patriot Act, but they are the ones who are now helping to enable Obama to go the next step and telling us how necessary this is to continue to fight against terrorists—with whom we are no longer at war!

AND...going after terrorists now means government must monitor/store/crunch ALL data from ALL US citizens.

The sight of that guy from the IRS Shulman smirking and insulting members of Congress and no being called on it
shows how far Congress has fallen as a co-equal branch of
government.

What I want the government to do is secure the border and stop importing terrorists.

I realize that will destroy their justification for domestic spying but I really don’t care how badly they want their expensive constitution shredder.

From a much longer post on another thread: Feinstein’s use of the word ‘treason,’ is strategic vs. Judge Napalitano calling him a ‘patriot & hero.’ Feinstein’s introduction of the charged word treason into the public vernacular is a signal to the 0bama organized base. I am not so sure Snowden is just such the hero, I think upon further reflection, he is a ‘useful idiot,’ and will simply be made to disappear. Feinstein’s use of the word ‘treason,’ also sets up the division between those who are considered loyal to the state, ie)patriotic to pay taxes vs. those loyal to the Constitution. While we have seen the divisive nature of the regime over the past few years and scoffed at the DHS designations of extremists, the laughing needs to stop. To be labeled an extremist is to be called a traitor to the state. So what does it mean to be a traitor? This is where the NDAA of 2012 comes back to haunt us. Well, under the NDAA all it takes is to commit a “belligerent” act. Who defines what that is? The President of the United States. http://www.belligerentact.org/ Congress is taking up the issue of Snowden today. Will he be deemed a whistleblower or traitor. Feinstein has already tipped their hand. The argument is if by revealing what the NSA is doing did Snowden commit a ‘belligerent act?’ Did he compromise the security of the United States? If the President says he did...then he is an enemy of the state and subject to the provisions under the NDAA.

And what are you gonna' do about it, Crybaby Boehner? Huh?

You're all mouth and worthless. I can't imagine what you're putting our country through by refusing to withhold funding from scores of illegal programs.

Well, The Weeper has finally made a positive contribution.
