This is been hashed over a goodly number of times on FR. The facts are that it was difficult for Americans to get a visa, but not impossible. It was listed, IIRC, as "dangerous" for Americans to travel there. Also IIRC it was determined (can't remember how) that Zero never had a US passport before he became a Senator. So if that is factual, what passport did he use before? A different name? From a different country? I don't know.

Thanks, sure, I’d like answers to all those questions too, mine, and the ones we both share. I’m sure I can be forgiven for not knowing everything that has been previously ‘hashed over’ here, not having unlimited time to spend on this site. And I’m sure I can be allowed my conditional statements using words like ‘supposedly’ by someone who uses ‘IIRC’ and ‘can’t remember how’.
