I posted “check your dates” because I remembered seeing the age 8 photo of him in school in Hawaii which contradicted the dates in the excerpt you posted. It turns out you posted the photo. I only wanted you and others to know the Hawaii school years were not kosher.
The real problem is that the mythical life of Zero contradicts itself at every turn, and the facts that are both known and made public, often - very often - contradtic the myth, or even seem to sometimes contradict other known bits.
The best thing is to clear one’s mind entirely of the myth and start from scratch, just absorbing the bits that are known, without trying to weave it all together. Hopefully more will turn up/be made public so we will get a clearer picture of his actual life.

The 'dates' in the article I posted the excerpt from, relate to the period the person being interviewed remembered. She recalled him from Punahou as of Grade Five. If she didn't know him from elementary school in 1969, where he may have attended for a short period, there are no dates to question in her interview.
I followed that comment with another article which also relates to the same period. Another classmate from Grade Five.
Sorry I snapped at you. It just seems that no matter, even if I provide a source for a comment and no matter how often I post information accompanied by images and links, someone has to over-ride what I have posted, and so often without any source to back it up.
At least you posted a link to The Obama File. A little further down, you would have seen my contibution.
The period Christmas 1969 is an entirely different story. What I posted today was an excerpt from a first-hand account which relates to a period some years later, and is primarilly connected to the story zero tells of being some kind of Indonesian royalty.
