You have a government that has taken on a life of its own. It has its own inertia and is run by unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats who answer to no one.

“If people can’t trust not only the executive branch, but also don’t trust Congress and don’t trust federal judges,,,”

He forgot to add the media to the list.

I wouldn't trust the federal government if it said good morning. I have lost all faith or trust in anything the Feds say or do. we are are staring at a replay of Germany in the 1930’s and it is only going to get worse. The fox is in the chicken coop big-time. If any of you federal a$$holes are reading this "FU"

Well, that’s our problem: the majority is uninformed and is expected to remain so.

Be advised: President Obama finds “your lack of faith disturbing.”

I find the fact that parasitic idiots of this country twice elected this ignorant POS dictator wannabe disturbing.

From the very beginning, this adminstration was about apology and revenge. Apology for what America was and revenge against their political opponents. The end game was the creation of an all-powerful, one-party state supported and abetted by a compliant press, a leftist intellectual class, unions, public schools, and academia. Clearly, they will use whatever means they have to destroy conservatives — all the while protesting that any criticism of their purpose or means of attack is motivated by racism, blind hatred, or paranoia.

I always wondered what it was like in 1930’s Germany when the state was becoming all powerful behind a charismatic leader, and opposition was buried.

Now I live in a modernized technologically advanced mirror image. It’s 1933/2013.

A review of the President's words will reveal that, within his response to a question, and as part of his rambling defense of the actions, he stated, "We also have federal judges that we put in place who are not subject to political pressure," continuing that they have lifetime appointments.

The "we put in place" phrase may, or may not, be significant here, but in these times, the words are not reassuring safeguards for the liberty of these or future generations.

I guess what Barky just doesn't understand is that one might extend trust blindly once, but the old addage (paraphrased), "Lie to me once, shame on you, lie to my twice, shame on me" is operative.

Congress hasn't done much to endear trust. The courts? Ask John Roberts about that, regarding Bammycare.

But the real winner in the "pants on fire" competition is the executive branch! Treasury department? One of the very first things done is install a tax cheat as the Sec-Treasury! His excuse? Oops! Turbo Tax made a mistake (for which I still think they should have sued the hell out of him, demanding that he demonstrate exactly how their tax software failed!). I simply can't think of a single thing where they could be trusted.

"President Obama finds “your lack of faith disturbing.”

That's because unlike Socialists, Democrats, and the Professional Left, there are still plenty of people who don't see The Government itself as their "God".

Setting up a secret court and whispering the secrets to a few members of Congress who promise not to tell.

Saaaay didn’t something like happen in Germany?.

He is talking to the low cognition voter here. This isn’t meant for anyone affiliated with the tea party or who is politically adversarial to him. He doesn’t care that they know this about them. In fact, this whole system of terrorizing the citizen is useless UNLESS his “enemies” (his words) know about it and fear it.
