there are ways to choose your troop

Some troops limit themselves to who fits in the leader’s car for traveling

Age 14+ there are Venture Scouts, Sea Scouts, etc

or Lone Scouts

BSA might be for every boy but that doesn’t mean every troop is for every boy

Every troop that continues to adorn itself with the BSA’s paraphernalia is advertising an endorsement of the organization and its new progressivism.

Ever play capture the flag? It is the BSA’s organizational symbolism that has been hijacked for a perverse cause.

But why pick and choose how to get around the policy? What kind of message is that sending their sons...it's okay to get by on a technicality and a finagle and ignore things that are wrong and you disagree with?

It would make more sense for some families just to get together and provide those scouting opportunies for their sons, and also use that as a great bonding opportunity between children, parents, and other loved ones. JMHO
