What a day.

Lynn-DAH had her scheduled annual visit to the vet this morning. She was immediately suspicious of the big man who was holding her still for her temperature you-know-where, and she pawed at him, ripping out the crotch of his scrubs! (Luckily she didn’t hurt him!) Then she had blood drawn, several needles, exams of her eyes, ears and teeth, and the Bordatella vaccine squirted up her nose. She is very proud of her new PURPLE rabies tag, and afterwards, we took a nice walk to the Mailbox shed to drop off some mail. Suddenly we were hit with a tropical storm (Andrea) with all the fury of a Monsoon, and 60mph winds. After barely making it back to our apartment, I was despairing of being able to work today. A slight clearing allowed me to get to the car, but all day long I kept getting caught in it between students.

We had over a foot of rain in Broward.

I got the rain yesterday, about five inches, but the winds didn’t arrive until today.
