That’s why I suggest the pain killer was more of the problem. Pain killers are “downers,” and they can really slow down the reflexes. But pot could potentiate that effect. But when you’re prescribed a pain killer, the info always says, “Don’t drive or operate heavy machinery.”

Non union job! I am a heavy equiptment operator and have operated cranes as well it’s not a job to be messed up on!
It may have been his action that contributed to the collapse, but as a construction worker myself I think the supervision was wrong in it’s method of demolition. One witness mentioned them pulling out a piece of steel that was giving some support just before the collapse. However I have never seen a piece of steel use to shore up a 4 story wall on initial construction, unless they installed it as a safety device.
I for one can not understand the perimiter not being secure to other buildings and citizens in the area! Especially in close proximity.
