The upside is that this 11-year-old will grow up to think of the government as a bunch of Nazis.

I have not disagreed with that.

I am just stating that there is work to be done. Our founders didn’t only pray for their freedom, they fought for it.

I am saying yes pray, yes be moral and religious but work. Hard work is part of good morals— at least that’s what my mother taught me.

Every night I read these stories and our responses. The question is, How do these idiots get these jobs? It's like cancer. Every school is run by morons, yet most of us leave our kids in their charge. I home schooled my daughter and never looked back, but when I suggest the same for others, the mumbling and kicking the dirt starts.

If you are a Christian, why in the world do you allow your child to be taught by these cross dressing, baby killing, God haters? If you are a Patriot, what do you think they are teaching your child about the Founders and the Constitution? If you just want your child to be taught math and don't even care about the other stuff, well, good luck.

I keep hearing things like, "Well, at my school, they are different". No they aren't! You're kidding yourselves. If you leave your child in government schools, you get government education. They WILL believe homosexuality is good, They WILL believe killing babies is OK, They WILL believe that you are destroying the environment. On top of that, they will believe Justin Bieber is more important than anything they could learn in school. The girls will lose their virginity by 14, and the boys will father at least one bastard by graduation. Those are the odds. They ALL drink and take dope by high school. Now if you think your angels will somehow be different, good luck and brace yourself.

You are overwhelmed with the culture and these moronic idiots in charge of everything.

Every night I read about people "gonna get their AR15 and buy more bullets. For What? You won't even save your own family let alone save the country. We keep electing morons that appoint more morons, but at least they haven't cut Social Security yet.

I'm sorry about the rant, but I've been here since before Clinton, and nothing has changed. All we do is bitch and moan every night about how bad things have gotten. If just 10% of us took our kids out of school and told the SOB's to get EFed, maybe we could get their attention without full scale revolution. Maybe if somebody went to a PTA meeting and told them how stupid they were, maybe it would embarrass them enough to change. Has anyone got in someone's face and told them, "NOT ONE MORE INCH!" Nope! Now we've lost the Boy Scouts. Their dead. Gone by next January IMHO. What's going to happen when these kids that were sent home for just SAYING the word,"gun", grow up? What kind of wacko will they turn out to be. I saw one at a City council meeting when he found out a speaker had a carry license and wouldn't say whether he was carrying or not. The guy pee'd himself and left the meeting.

Naw, I've seen it all, and I don't think anything will change. No leadership, No lines drawn, and if there were a line, we just watch them cross the line while they chortle.

Flame away!

I agree. It is we who have failed the constitution. This is of course an example of insanity and nothing more!

Yes, the police are really SO DUMB as to ask to search somebody’s house because his or her kid was wishing he had a gun to defend his school from a shooter.

Support your local police? Feh . . .

Maybe when their average IQ goes above 100.

Maryland “Freak State” PING!

The Constitution is a failure because we’ve become a godless hedonistic society.

It is not the Constitution that is the failure. It is the people who have failed to insist their leaders abide by it. It is the failure of those leaders to abide by it.

Blaming the Constitution is like blaming the blueprint for the builder's construction foul-ups.

Americans have been letting our Government cut corners for a long time, either because it was convenient or people had something to gain.

A FOUR PAGE QUESTIONNAIRE ?????

Maybe the questionnaire was modeled after one sent to a Tea Party group by the IRS.

“I’m sure the ACLU is trying to contact the family as we speak.

Right?”

“””Based on information about Henkelman’s case provided by WMAL.com, the ACLU of Maryland said the suspension, later reduced to one day, was a poor choice by school administrators.

“It’s appropriate for school officials to investigate when there is a concern about student safety. But based on what’s been described to us, once the school official concluded that all the young man wanted to do was to be safe at school and that he posed no risk to anyone, the suspension was really inappropriate,” said Sonya Kumar, an ACLU staff attorney.”””

Then the Lord called me to the Nashville area where there is even Better Stuff going on. The Lord is powerful here.

The presence of the Lord is powerful in Tennessee...many are drawn there to be with their brothers and sisters in Christ.

I think the point is to demonize gun ownership with the younger generation. So that when they are adults they will choose not to be gun owners. “Confiscation” will take many forms...

Well said.

Schools are generally supposed to teach children how they will be expected to act in society when they are grown. So, what are these zero-tolerance policies actually teaching them? Gun are inherently evil - unless the government issues one to you. Then they are righteous and approved.

The government wants the next generation to feel sick to their stomach at the very sight of a firearm; A Pavlovian response so ingrained it can not be ignored. Our children are being psychologically programed every day, Guns are bad...Guns are bad...Guns are always bad...Only the State should be trusted with guns...

I went to Camp Perry a few summers ago during the matches to buy a CMP rifle, and several of the vendors had t-shirts reading “I participate in an Olympic sport that I can’t talk about at school”.

And this is Calvert County and not Montgomery or PG — doubly scary.

Sure brings back old memories. When I was in fourth grade back in the 60’s, our teacher had us perform skits. Three of my buddies and I reenacted an episode of Gunsmoke. We came to school in full cowboy dress including the cap gun firearms. I was Matt Dillon of course. And yes, I shot the bad guy right there in front of the class. Ah, the good ole days.

OWINGS, MD — The father of a middle schooler in Calvert County, Md. says his 11-year-old son was suspended for 10 days for merely talking about guns on the bus ride home.
Bruce Henkelman of Huntingtown says his son, a sixth grader at Northern Middle School in Owings, was talking with friends about the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre when the bus driver hauled him back to school to be questioned by the principal, Darrel Prioleau.
The principal told me that with what happened at Sandy Hook if you say the word ‘gun’ in my school you are going to get suspended for 10 days,” Henkelman said in an interview with WMAL.com.
So what did the boy say? According to his father, he neither threatened nor bullied anyone.
“He said, I wish I had a gun to protect everyone. He wanted to defeat the bad guys. That’s the context of what he said,” Henkelman said. “He wanted to be the hero.”
The boy was questioned by the principal )see below) and a sheriff’s deputy, who also wanted to search the family home without a warrant, Henkelman said. “He started asking me questions about if I have firearms, and [the deputy said] he’s going to have to search my house. Search my house? I just wanted to know what happened.

Suspended for 10 days for saying the word ‘gun’, and sheriff’s deputy is called in.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Thanks for posting this article, Swampy... because it got me thinking. My youngest (just turned 7 a little over a month ago) and I were watching television. It was the show about the Kentucky man who removes wildlife with his bare hands. Anyways, she watched how he removed snapping turtles from a pond. To be fair, she was a bit freaked out by all the snapping and just the mean appearance of the turtle. She said to me, “If I had a pond, I wouldn’t use my hands.. I would just shoot them”. Most (if not all) freepers would understand the comment. Now I am thinking.. should I advise her to NEVER, EVER say anything like this when in school? If that is the answer, aren’t I hindering her free and ultimate expression? I truly don’t know the answer on this one...

Dumb isnt really the right word as some people might say yes then who knows what they find and use against them..

Remember that guy who was cam-recording on a bike going 90 on 95 got pulled over and ticketed and the Maryland polize (Nazis in this case) actually got a search warrant from an anomomous judge just because he uploaded the clip of the cop to youtube.

I just called the school and left a message for this idiot “educator” who has never read the Constitution or understood Freedom. The loser principal should be suspended for having a pin head.
