This might actually be a good thing. Remember the change was a “decision” from the corporate head office. Well the rules that prohibit scouts from wearing uniforms in a political situation come down from above as well.
Perhaps no one will listen to the corporate office and they will be the ones to leave scouting and leave it to us volunteers that know what we are doing.

It’s so simple... say they are welcome to do as they please, but if they violate the charter then they are not exempt from consequences simply because the cause celebre happens to be homosexuality.

So the glove has been tossed. We know the leadership doesn’t care, they as much as admitted that this was all they could achiev (til the Catholics and Baptists quit).
The other player was the peverts at the mormon church, with 40% of the scouts. But he is marching with the mormons, so he should be safe.
This is probably just a deliberate provocation to speed the exodus of the Baptists and Catholics.
Once they are gone, the mormons and percerts can sell off the assets.

When I was in the Scouts, I had never heard the word "homosexual" and was unaware that homosexuality even existed.
