The phrase “...and his partner” says that he and the other guy aren’t married. Would it be reasonable to assume they’re enjoying the sexual aspects of their conjugal relationship? Outside of marriage?

Many of us observers aren’t necessarily Victorian prudes, but isn’t extra-marital sex considered sinful behaviors in some sects? And isn’t this guy capable of getting a marriage performed to cover his ecclesiastical ass?

Just wondering.

In the technical sense, and I often refer to this when I am engaged in the culture wars, two dudes can not be conjugal.
