Israel and Russia have a number of common interests. They would both do better by finding a course of action that does not involve shooting at each other.

When you’re a nation, you have to watch what your leaders say in public.
This puts Israel on record. If anything happens to those missiles even if Israel isn’t involved, Israel will be the first one people think of.
Better to keep your mouth shut, take out the missiles if you like, then allow Russia a face saving story line like, we’re not sure what happened. We’ll have to look into it.
Now here’s a direct confrontation, that Russia will have to respond to if anything happens, or it will have egg all over it’s face.
Dumb move by the Israeli here.

The Ruskies keep saying they are going to ship them and then change their mind. Then the next they say they are going to ship them. What gives?

Putting SA-300 missiles in the Syrian theater makes it possible for Syria to Gas Israel with immunity. A serious move by Russia. Muslims are essentially cowards, they only strike when they have overwhelming odds, or have decided to suicide out of the repercussions of their actions.
By putting top level anti air missile systems in Syria, Russia is drastically escalating the Syrian War into a regional conflict. The S300 has a range of 150 kilometers, giving a battery inside Syria the ability to shoot down Israels Airforce inside Israel. The computer systems can track 100 targets and attack 12 at the same time on each battery. This system is also capable of supressing Israels Arrow defensive missile systems. This system would hand Israel to Syria and the Jihadi on a silver platter, and enable a first strike capability for a one shot win of he Middle East Jihad.

I'm so confused. If Russia doesn't arm Syria, AlQuaida gets more weapons from us. That, I'd think, would not be good for the future well-being of Israel. If, on the other hand, Syria uses the Russian weapons to destroy lots of terrorist thugs, that's good for Israel, isn't it?
I'd think that Russia and Israel would be on the same side on ths one.

The statement is that the shipment, not the ship, will be targeted. The ship’s captain should keep his crew aboard to avoid collateral deaths and dismemberments.

Putin and Netanyahu met face to face in Russia, a few weeks ago. I could be wrong, but my sense is that a deal was made, at that time, and this is all posturing, for public consumption. Thank you.

Shortly after this, Syrian government received intelligence information by the Soviet Union stating that Israel is amassing forces on the Syrian border to launch an attack. There is no evidence about the authenticity of this information; however, it made Syria and Egypt come together and stand against Israel."

Most assuredly Israel will take out any ship that is bringing dangerous weapons of mass destruction to her enemies.
But Russia already knew that...
Well, maybe a nice short simple reminder like this fellow’s statement might be useful in avoiding any unnecessary unpleasantness. Hard for me to say from afar but probably he felt this way or he would not have made the (obvious) statement.
(None of this would even have come up if USA were still respected in the world... Putin laughs at us now, alas.... this is not a good thing for the future of world peace...)

What about the weapons the U.S. wishes to send to the Syrian rebels? While not advanced (allegedly), still not welcome, I would imagine.
