In Thailand, if I’m told “he looks Muslim,” I look for a guy with a scraggy beard, wearing a white beanie and perhaps white PJs. The beard will usually do. No racial distinction necessary.

I believe that the 57 states (remember those?) of the OIC have gotten the UN to declare Islam a race so they can claim racism when other peeps insult Islam.
