Our AC went on the blink the other day. Had a small leak where two lines rubbed a hole into each other. After a few ounces of silver solder [$200 / per pound] and almost 7 lbs of $60 per pound Freon, we are back up and running. I remember when a 12” stick of silver solder cost more than a 30 lb can of Freon 22.
