Carney: Obama Didnt Ask Why He Didnt Know about IRS Before News Reports
By Andrew Johnson May 21, 2013 4:12 PM Comments 21
Jay Carney told reporters that President Obama did not ask his senior staff why he was learning about the IRSs targeting of conservative groups for the first time through news reports two weeks ago, rather than from his staff. The administration has admitted that White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler was informed in late April of the inspector general report detailing the targeting and that she shared the information with members of the the presidents senior staff. The White House maintains that neither Ruemmler nor the presidents staff made him aware of the report.
The president believes that the counsels decision is the right one, Carney said. He reiterated that the president would not have wanted to intervene in an ongoing investigation.
Carney also said that White House deputy chief of staff Mark Childress spoke with Treasury Department officials about how to best reveal the IRSs targeting, including a discussion about the possibility of a speech. The targeting was instead revealed when Lois Lerner responded to a planted question about the targeting at a conference earlier this month.
What do we pay Obama for? If what Obama does is the proper role of a president, then I suggest we save ourselves some money and not have one.
How much news has the Obama administration successfully suppressed?

On the heels of news that the Obama administration Department of Justice was spying on reporters at the Associated Press, Monday brought the startling disclosure by the Washington Post that the DOJ had also targeted Fox reporter James Rosen for surveillance in an effort to plug up leaks.
Additionally, the New Yorkers Ryan Lizza obtained the full application for a search warrant of Rosens personal email account, in which the DOJ accused him of being an aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator. As Lizza put it, Rosen was not charged with any crime, but it is unprecedented for the government, in an official court document, to accuse a reporter of breaking the law for conducting the routine business of reporting on government secrets.
Why would he ask? It worked.

That doesn’t bother me at all, I could care less.
This whole narrative from the White House reminds of the scene in Casino where Robert De Niro fires the juiced-in local slot manager.

To paraphrase De Niro’s character, Obama was either in on the scandals or he’s too stupid and incompetent to be president.
You mean like “we are not out to take anyones guns”?
Of course not. No need to ask when you already know.
This is just another zero-truth lie from Obama.

The Prevaricator-in-Chief. It’s what he’s done his entire life. One big lie.
There’s only one reason why a guy isn’t angry about not being old about something like this.
He already knows...
When you think about it, he really has no choice. It's too late to bring strangers into the inner circle. He can't risk replacing someone, only to have the new person discover all the seedy antics and then resign in disgust at their abuses of the office that was entrusted to them.
That is, if he hires someone with ethics and a conscience.

Obama reminds me of member of the Mafia.
He don’t know nothin’ about nothin’!
Rush Limbaugh today posited why didn’t the CEO of BP use the same defense regarding the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico?
Instigator - LOL
Yeah, right. He’s so disinterested in his job, he didn’t wonder why he wasn’t told. Perhaps it wasn’t a surprise to him?
This is all these two clowns are good for, and they aren’t too good at that.
