I heard YESTERDAY that storms were predicted again for today. There's no excuse for the schools in that area to open for business this morning.

That isn't how it works. Tornadoes affect a very small area of a state during most outbreaks. And the kids would have been in just as much danger at home.

Probably worse, if they don't have a basement. Most schools in that area have reinforced safety zones... in stairwells and the like, for this reason.
