Even back then there were already a few Dykes on Bikes in the local party. I suspect it is overrun now. I'm not going back to check.
LOL! Careful there! I was a biker babe back in the day, but never a dyke. One made a pass at me once, but I disabused her immediately.
I really loved riding, and my boyfriend (now Hubby) and I used to dice with each other and our friends through the canyons in Malibu.
I still have my GS1100, but I don’t ride anymore. It’s my hips. I can sit on the bike, but I can’t put my foot down. Makes it tough to stop at traffic signals. :/
2 wheels are awesome at any speed.
I miss riding. I was pretty good at it but the only girl in our group back then.
All the guys thought that was cool, but I only had eyes for Hubby (then boyfriend).
Oh, and I forgot to brag about a bone-headed stunt I pulled once on the way to San Francisco.
I decided to see if my bike could pull the redline in top gear.
It can.
The speedometer only went up to a wildly optimistic 85 MPH, so I had to calculate my speed from the tach and my gear ratio. I got up to 150 MPH.
And there in my rear view mirror was Hubby, right on my tail, on his Katana. LOL!
And thank You, God for sparing our lives.
