I have never heard of the legislative chamber performing a prosecutorial function, although I am happy to be corrected if someone knows better. AFAIK they can investigate, and they can cite for contempt of Congress, but the latter is not self-enforcing, and requires assistance of either the DOJ or the judicial branch.

Watching the house hearing now. Democrat trying to blame Bush.

The Democrats are spending a lot of their time trying to steer any and all blame away from O'bummer.

i know nothing about the law but criminal sentences for government workers? Even if these 4 were thrown totally under the bus, even if nobody else could be found to be involved, they wouldn’t serve 10 years between the 4 of them.

And it's not just a few IRS agents.

The entire IRS is controlled by its union, the NTEU, and the union is nothing more than an extension of the Democratic/Obama Machine.

Yes, the union is a big part of it, and it has a perfect environment in which to push these sort of partisan ideas. If you visit any government office, you'll see that many (if not most) of the employees are demographically aligned with the Obama administration. I doubt if much union arm-twisting was needed.

“Reality Check: 4 Cincinnati IRS workers named, Could they face federal charges?”

Never happen as the powers that be will suffer when they name who gave the orders.

If they are smart, they will “out” whomever told them to do it and get off with a slap on the wrist...then we will keep moving up the chain.

“Congress does not have the balz to do anything but play games. “

And I think the same, unfortunately, can be said about us!

Some still send their kids to public schools instead of home school or private or charter schools. Some still buy their daily liberal news paper.

Some still vote a straight ticket.

Some still believe the GOP will learn when it is obvious they have been infected with the progressive cancer that completely consumed the democrats.

Remember, using the CPUSA’s own words, progressives are communist members in good standing.

As of today, I see only the Tea Party as a possible starting solution but we do have to remove our children/grand children from public schools immediately.

... group prosecution needs to take place under RICO statutes ...

It’s not just for “The Mob”.

Remember this case?

From: http://www.oyez.org/cases/1990-1999/1993/1993_92_780

- - - - - - - -

NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR WOMEN (NOW) v. SCHEIDLER
Docket No.
92-780
Petitioner: National Organization for Women (NOW)
Respondent: Scheidler
Decided By: Rehnquist Court (1993-1994)
Opinion: 510 U.S. 249 (1994)
Argued: Wednesday, December 8, 1993
Decided: Monday, January 24, 1994

Advocates:

Miguel A. Estrada - (Argued the cause for the United States as amicus curiae urging reversal)

Fay Clayton - (Argued the cause for the petitioners)
G. Robert Blakey -(Argued the cause for the respondents)

Facts of the Case:

The National Organization for Women (NOW) sued a coalition of anti-abortion groups called the Pro-Life Action Network (PLAN) under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

N.O.W. alleged that Scheidler and other anti-abortion protesters were members in a nationwide conspiracy to obstruct women’s access to abortion clinics through a pattern of racketeering activity including the actual or implied threat of violence.

The District Court dismissed the suit, holding that the voluntary contributions are not proceeds of racketeering and that a “racketeering enterprise” must have an economic motive, a fact that NOW could not demonstrate. The Court of Appeals affirmed and the Supreme Court granted certiorari.

Question: Does RICO require that an organization, to be defined as a racketeering enterprise, must be acting in pursuit of an economic motive?

Conclusion:

Decision: 9 votes for National Organization for Women (NOW), 0 vote(s) against

Legal provision: Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations

The unanimous Court held that organizations without an economic motive can detrimentally “affect interstate or foreign commerce,” satisfying the RICO definition of a racketeering enterprise.

An “enterprise” does not have to be an economic organization or a principally criminal organization to trigger the RICO act. Consequently, the Court reversed the appeals court decision which allowed the original case to proceed.

If they keep their mouths shut they will be taken care of by the Dems. If it looks like they might start to talk about who ordered their actions - then they’ll just be taken care of.

Get names, turn screws, get more names. Repeat until you reach Zippy.

I'm glad that someone was finally asking for names!
