The NFL is a TAX-EXEMPT organization?

I'm sorry, but someone explain how that could be. I understand the whole anti-trust thing with MLB, but professional sports leagues are not "charities" by any stretch of the imagination.

Oh I agree they are not charities despite their significant tax payer support.

My point is if you tax them the cost will just flow through on ticket prices.

The NFL itself is a tax exempt organization. The teams however are not. The NFL is the association created to promote the competition between the individual teams.
