Every time it's put to the voters, it's been defeated. The only states that have it are ones where the legislature, all Demorat controlled, have passed it and the Demorat Gubner signed it.

Minnesota did vote on it. In 2012, opponents of same-sex marriage put a constitutional amendment on the ballot to ban same-sex marriage. It was defeated.

Also in 2012, voters approved same-sex marriage in Maine, Maryland and Washington State.
