This isn’t going to provoke more protests, is it?

“James Dean, who died”
A dead American. That should arouse the interest of the adherents of the religion of peace.
Dean is buried in Fairmount, IN, just north of here. Fans have chipped pieces from his tombstone.
Even in death, “You’re tearing me apart!”

James Dean really needed to have served a hitch in the military to grow up, he was such a drama queen.

This guy was better.

The film was indeed rather well-made (Nicholas Ray, right?), but my tolerability level for anything to do with the topic of “teen angst” was always low to begin with, and has grown far moreso with each passing year. Especially since America itself has become such a faggoty, self-absorbed embarrassment of a country.

Bet it’s not the uncut black-and-white version, which as far as I know you can only see by buying the complete set of Dean movies. Libyans would surely riot.

Saw it twice - that’s about enough for my 60 years.

Speaking for myself, I never claimed Dean was gay. RWAC is admittedly a solid, well-made film. It’s just that as the culture has become more and more self-absorbed, feminized, and even celebratory over this fact, issues like “teen angst” have worn really, really thin with me. Not saying the message of RWAC is endorsing this, but that it’s the topic that has become a visceral turn-off.

Starring James Dean, who died before the film was released ...

Giant was released after his death ... not Rebel Without A Cause. I'm old enough to remember the movie not long after it was released. My recollection is that I saw the movie before he was killed in a automobile accident.
