“The White House apparently panicked when the consulate came under attack. The main concern was not with the U.S. personnel in Benghazi but over potential political repercussions. Obama (VALARIE JARRETT) may have envisaged a repeat of Jimmy Carter’s failed rescue of Iranian hostages. Or he may have feared an armed U.S. incursion into Benghazi would damage relations with Libya. So he decided to do nothing and hope for the best. The issue was confined to the “most senior national security officials” because they are political appointees. Had the Counterterrorism Security Group been convened they would have followed established doctrine which would have involved a rescue attempt followed by tracking down the attackers and destroying them”

Yep, agree with the above with the exception that you need to substitute Valarie Jarretts name where you now have Obamas.

Agreed. Barry was most likely sitting in the lazboy watching ESPN. Probably whacked out on some pills. Jarrett would have been calling the shots after the 4 pm meeting.
