A muslim can be a good person

Then they are not a muslim. There are "cultural muslims" just as there are "cultural Jews" and "cultural Catholics", they only go along with the cultural aspects, without really believing in the religion, itself.

Correct. They may call themselves muslim, and be culturally muslim, and even marry three wives and little boys, but they are not following the requirements of their religion unless they do all they can to wage war and commit atrocities against non-muslims.

Ironically, someone is not a good Christian if they do the things that make one a good muslim.
