Agreed. I wasn’t suggesting that gays “were somehow more invulnerable to losing everything” than the other “demographics”. My other posts suggest that there IS an overlapping set of demographics that have very real effects
on such practical things as the results of Presidential elections, specifically the first and second terms of Barack Obama, who is leading us more quickly and inexorably into
that state of economic disaster you mention than Romney ever would have.

I am not in favor of same sex marriage or certainly Obama but over a third of the tiny base of gays do vote Republican. And a number of homosexual Republicans or conservatives will often make libertarian arguments when writing about LGBT rights. They are about free enterprise and self-reliance because they have had to be to survive historically. The larger point is that marriage-absence and uncontrollable deficit spending are the inseparable problems bankrupting the country, neither of which can be in any way laid at the feet of gays.
