For the low-information voters, that is. But since they are a significant part of the voter base, we are stuck with their flaccid reasoning powers, and we may only hope that the stark reality of the rising costs and diminishing services somehow stirs the beginnings of critical thinking.
Otherwise, it may be necessary to separate this territory once known as “the United States of America” into several autonomous republics, with the option to remove immediately to the regions most compatible with your personal beliefs.
