I, too, wonder what the Forest Service was doing with such a huge quantity of explosive material, particularly in this part of the U.S.It's for blowing the bridges when the zombie attacks start.

Like there are so many bridges in that state! My friend (sort of because she’s a lib) whose daughter lives there said they needed it so they could do back burning in case of a forest fire. I think your response sounds more plausible.

Actually if you stop and think, the Forest service does use explosives to open fire breaks in the event of forest fires. But over 500 pounds of explosives. Hmm..?
