Universal health care.

Umm huh.

No guns.

Keep going

Strong unions.

Let's hear the rest.

A humane minimum wage. A humane immigration policy. High revenues from a fair tax structure. A massive public-works program. Legal gay marriage.

You understand that you would not have high revenue. Your tax structure would cause revenue to fall, right? Ok you don't. Carry on then.

A ban on carbon emissions.

You want people to stop breathing?

Electric cars. Stronger workplace protections. Extended family leave from work in case of pregnancy or illness. Longer unemployment benefits. In short, a society on a par with most of the rest of the industrialized world—a place whose politics have finally caught up with its social and economic realities.

In short a place where even you would not want to live.

Why would I hire any of your workers? They would be lazy, uneducated, expensive and just plain not worth it.

And why would I even have a business any way?

You would want to take everything I earned to support your wish list.

So businesses would close up and leave.

You would need those longer unemployment benefits.

But where would you get the money to pay them?

You could try to take them from your neighbor.

But you have no guns.

“A ban on carbon emissions.”

Most liberals are Luddites. They fear machinery or any technological advancements. It is too much for their little heads to understand.
