They’ve done the same thing with washers for laundry. Specifically, they’ve changed the agitator configuration on the low power consumption models so its barely there - saves power but doesn’t wash worth crap.

They don't rinse either. I have to run the washer through the cycle 3 times or else I get a rash from residual detergent. Yes, I know they have detergents specifically made for these washers, but they all have perfumes and dyes. Again...rash.

So much for energy and water saving.

Folks, remember way back when, when Eastern-Bloc appliances and cars (the "Hugo") were crap... and we in the west were envied? Well, guess what. We've now gone full circle, and the EPA has created a situation where our products are every bit the equal of those Eastern-Bloc products.
