Murderers tend to have some axe to grind against a particular person or two - usual motives, love, money, etc. Mass murderers are just crazy, hate all people and just want to kill. Or it is a combination of both - they want to kill one or two specific people and a bunch of others get in the way.
Terrorists on the other hand are motivated by something else. Terrorists hate entire cultures, entire ways of life. A murderer is targeting the people he/she injures or kills. A terrorist is targeting an entire culture - going after the people and the way of life. Their real targets are the people they don't even physically endanger.
Now, which one sounds closer to a couple of radical Islamic kids with all kinds of hatred of America in their wake?
The true believers must DO OR DIE. And they know it. Beheaded by a Mullah or die in glory for all those open-legged virgins. Take your pick.

They were in country for what 10 years? Reports state they were fine until the eldest one was mentored, either in his Mosque or some other Islamic extremist over last few years. People that knew the eldest said he went from wearing Western clothes, like Jeans to the long robes. He grew a beard. He stopped drinking, smoking, etc. He changed because he was radicalized by Islamic groups that seek out people like he and his brother. The eldest then recruited the younger brother. These are terrorists for Islam not “bullies for revenge”...like Columbine.

And neither of the above mentioned shooters or the Columbine killers or Adam Lanza acted on impulse. Each of their attacks were methodically planned and we have no idea what they would have done if they had walked away and had to be hunted down.

We should immediately clampdown a moratorium on immigration from Islamic countries and take a serious look at all recent immigrants from countries that harbor or give aid and comfort to the known enemy, ie, Islamic extremist groups. Last I looked, we are still at war with these people. And obviously, they are at war with us. The Boston bombing was an act of war against the American people on our own soil. This signals the beginning of an Islamic war on America on our streets. We best not shrug it off as a mere “crime.” There will be a rude awakening if we don’t take heed.

That is not necessarily true. A terrorist commits the deed as an expression of a political or religious goal or mission; a mass shooter may be a terrorist, or he may just be a lunatic who commits his action without any coherent rhyme or reason, or just for the sake of sadism.
John Wayne Gacy was a mass murderer, but he did not commit his crimes for any political or religious goal (though he was a Democrat precinct official in the Chicago area, and even had his photo taken with Rosalyn Carter!). Ditto with Ted Bundy. And Henry Lee Lucas. And a good deal more. Adam Lanza was a lunatic who was on prescription drugs for being a lunatic, and if he had a political or religious agenda it went with him to his grave, because no one knows of one.
On the other hand, the Unabomber was a terrorist because he committed his crimes for a political reason. Same for Obama’s friends Bill Ayres and Bernadine Dorn. Same also for Timothy McVeigh.
I don’t think we should treat the Boston Bomber as a criminal and I don’t think we should treat the the mass shooters as criminals.
They should all be treated as terrorists.

The thing is, we should have done that no later than 9/12/2001. We have a lot of catching up to do, but the problem is we have an administration that will not only NOT do that, but will in actuality do the opposite and will encourage the further infusion of such monsters into our country.

If we accept mental condition as a contributing factor for a person that commits a mass shooting, we will be faced with a situation were a Islamic bomber claims the “Insanity Defense.”

John Wayne Gacy and Ted Bundy were serial killers, not mass murderers.

Adam Lanza being on prescription drugs for an emotion disorder is irrelevant to his actions.
And the reason it is irrelevant is that I fully expect we will learn that the Boston Bombers were also on prescription drugs.
Obviously Holmes and Lanza planned their attacks. Maybe I should have said that they were done to gratify their “obsession”, but they clearly had no plans beyond the final act. Holmes had his whole apartment rigged to blow. Contrast this with the Tsarnaevs, who returned to their apartment and resumed their “normal lives”. They took great pains to conceal their own involvement, and I think this is very different than the shootings, where the act is a moment of personal exaltation, like Cagney on top of the gas tank.
I wonder if this is the same FBI analyst who went on all the news programs and declared the Beltway Sniper(s) to be White racists.
