I just heard his exact words replayed. He asked “How could young men who lived among us and studied here RESORT to such ... acts of violence?”
Think about that word, you resort to some action for a reason. It may be an overreaction but they had a reason, in Obama’s view.
He certainly wouldn’t be asking that sympathetic question if it could be spun that white conservative males had been the culprits. He’d start carrying on about how many more of our rights we need taken away “for our own good” and the hate and evil that being bitter clingers to the Bible and our right to KABA brings to us. Not that truly conservative white males or any other true conservative would ever perpetrate such a cowardly act. If we ever have to fight, it will be face to face on a level playing field (so beloved in theory by leftists but so despised by them in practice), and most likely the other side will have fired the first shot.
