Reid has officially pulled the gun control bill. As of now it is dead or at least unconscious.

Were there two other amendments that were supposed to be voted on today? If so, I assume both of those were voted down as well?

Surprisingly, a pro-2nd Amendment amendment that protects state CHL holders' privacy from the federal government passed by a high percentage.

Both amendments passed. One was favorable to gun owners (it penalized states for giving up information), the other was just money for mental health care.

The amendments mean nothing if the bill doesn't pass, and the bill is being withdrawn from further consideration.

I was under the impression that His Cadaverhood, the dishonorable Harry Reid, pulled the base bill, S.649, which all the amendments would have been amending. With no base bill, what's to amend?
