Yeah, a fertilizer plant blew up. Happens. Fertilizer plants, fireworks factories, and munitions plants all have similar track records of cooking off now and again.
Goes off *like* a bomb due to the materials involved.
But it would be stupid to pretend that an accidental explosion, or words to describe such in the heat of the moment, would be the same as a deliberately designed bomb.

I also know that a good percentage of those fires and explosions are sabotage or arson. It can be a disgruntled employee, financial difficulties, or an environmental wack job.
It's why we have arson investigation squads. I also know that a trained firefighter can recognize a bomb as well as other devices used to commit arson.
Terrorism is always a possibility of course, and given all the DHS/FEMA/USFA training on the subject that has been thrust upon us since 911, may have been the first thing the firefighter thought of when the place went up.
