Why get groped or bombed when you can watch sports on tv? The police state will kill large gatherings.

The terrorists have won.

The terrorists are not winning anything. The winner is our own government who takes advantage of terrorism to suppress our freedoms.

I don't enjoy live sports enough to endure a pat-down while the muzzie in front of me gets a free pass - so I don't attend sporting events anymore.

I don't need to fly, and will not fly for the sake of saving time when I must endure a pat-down while the muzzie in front of me gets a free pass.

If Freedom loving Americans would quit going to places where the Feds treat US as the enemy, the economics of it may cause them reconsider their anti-American tactics.

Or not.

So, little girls, old ladies and disabled vets?

No.

Little boys, little girls, old ladies and disabled vets.

Yup, I'm getting older now, have been lots of places and done lots of things, and I'm less and less inclined to go to large public events. It's a hassle, and I'm a busy person anyway.

Meanwhile border is still wide open and drug cartels travel the country with impunity.

How else would you expect 'em to pick up the "assault weapons" they bought from Eric Holder?

I’m just a little curious...

Aren’t there certain times of day when the streets of mid-town Manhattan are more crowded than the marathon crowds? Couldn’t a bomber just target these ‘non-event’ crowds that happen every day?

Or wait for a blockbuster movie to come out, complete with its large outdoor lines.

Or, of course, bomb the inside of a theater, crowded elevator, crowded nightclub, outdoor concert, or any number of less ‘official’ venues?

Would unconstitutional searches at only some events really prevent terrorism?

As for me. I intend to continue to acknowledge that God is watching.

These encroachments on our liberty do NOTHING to make us safer, and honestly, I’ve not heard a single suggested course of action that could prevent this sort of attack that doesn’t violate our rights.

All that we can do, other than defend our Constitutional rights agains further erosion by the government, is to pray to God for His mercy and protection. Or, for lack of a better example, to emulate Gen. Thomas Jackson, who is credited with the following:
“My religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave.”

We need to secure our boarders. We need to defend our culture. But more than anything, we need to honor God and submit to his will.

When we enter Jacksonville Stadium to see the jags, they already have pat down for the past two years.

They're looking for contraband booze. Could not care less about bombs. Selling you nine dollar beers is an integral part of the financial projections, dontcha know.

I've been going to Cleveland Browns games since 9-11 and been thoroughly searched almost every time. (Wand, pat down and coat pockets and any bags I am carrying) and I am not singled out. Everyone else in line is too. Women pat down women Men Pat down men. If you got something suspicious you are pulled from the line and get a real going over by severe looking people who have no sense of humor whatsoever.

What are we going to do next? Body cavity searches?

Or even shutting down the Student Visa Program. That would close the door on 80% of the terrorists we’ve ever known of.

Not our fault that so many third-rate universities can’t pay their bills on the existing student aid programs.

And in related news....the NFL can’t seem to figure out why you don’t want to come to the stadium anymore.

This is why I don’t go to these things much anymore. If someone wants to pat me down at the entry it implicitly says that I’m not trusted. If I’m not trusted, I don’t want to be a part of whatever is happening there.

Well we go less every year (I am a season ticket holder and have been since the Days of the Real Dawg Pound) but its more to do with economics and the fact I have less tolerance for Cell Phone Yapping Suburbanites that could care if there is a game going on and more concerned with calling their friends and bragging about where they are and what good seats they have.

So we use the NFL's Ticket selling service and make a nice profit from selling the tickets. Then we cherry pick which game we want to attend and the entire trip is paid for by Cell Phone Yapping Suburbanites who pay ridiculously high tickets prices for our seats when we stay home for the rest of the season and watch the games in HD.

That would stop illegals in their tracks overnight

I've always maintained that a dozen or so two-man teams, armed with Barrett 50 cals, and randomly distributed and moved along the border, would do more to stop illegal immigration in its tracks than (in your example) the Great Wall of China.

Be a whole lot more cost-effective, too. Though, with the price of ammo doing what its doing, there's no telling for how much longer that will be the case. :-)

I hear you.

Last time I paid good money to attend an NHL hockey game some doofus in front of me who had paid the same insane ticket price was watching dog videos on his iPhone.

And they ran a promotion on the scoreboard from the local newspaper telling us to “Follow our Live Blog of the Game”.

Why do I need to follow a Live Blog of the game if I’m AT THE GAME???

They will just HAVE to have Homeland security checking out gun shows.

These people are evil. In th emidst of the WORST human misery, they are still trying to figure a way to advance a leftist political agenda.
