I don’t know if that is a clue or what. I mean, if you want to terrorize the Boston marathon, why not hit within the first 30 min of runners coming in? Why wait a couple hours?
If it was timed, they aren’t certain of the finish.
I’m suspecting North Korea. They made some rumblings about something of this nature.
The majority of finishers would be arriving at this time.
Maybe, IF, someone was setting something off...they were GUESSING as to the time the most runners would be coming in????
Maybe is was supposed to go off in the beginning....but if it was cellphone related and they used ATT, then it took longer to reach it's destination.
The end of the marathon has a large crowd at the finish line and live media on the scene.
This is the best way to maximize fatalities and ensure live coverage (like 9/11)
I think anyone saying it IS or is NOT the result of some accidental explosion, with absolute assuredness, both don’t know what they’re talking about. By definition.
It’s only been approximately an hour since this occured.
FOX is saying cell towers, land lines, and internet are all choked to the point of useless.
I heard someone from local TV say that it happened at about the time when the most people were passing the finish line. People are crossing the line until about 6-7 at night.
Why wait a couple hours?
If the objective is terror, that means psychological impact. When the leaders pass through with no problems, it underscores normalcy, and that means greater disorientation (psychological impact) later when all hell breaks loose.
The more the act seems senseless, the more terror it generates. If it made perfect sense to the average person, they'd know how to better their odds to avoid it and it would not have the same impact as a seemingly random event.
As an added attraction for terrorists, there will be more victims in the fat part of the bell curve for finishing runners than in the thin end of that curve which finishes first.
It's all sick. But if the timing was planned that way, that would likely be why--to maximize impact.
