I bet if you took out the cities that are Dem-controlled in these states, you would get different answers.
I’m sure there are some other factors involved, but without hard numbers in front of me, it would be irresponsible to state them.

Does this article publish factual numbers about gun violence in our most liberal gun-controlled cities like Chicago? Or did I miss it?
“Gun violence” and “deaths” proabably also include the bad guys who were taken out legitimately by a law abiding citizen.
“Gun violence” is a propaganda metric. Consider “Hospital Deaths”. Millions of people die each year in hospitals. We can stop all “hospital deaths” by banning hospitals. They we will no longer have millions of “hospital deaths”, but of course, the total number of deaths per year will go up.
Total homicides are the proper measure. I bet the “gun violence” in these numbers includes suicides, for example.
