I ran across a story about Ronald & Nancy Reagan’s actions under similar circumstances. Story goes that the White House tours were cancelled for one day. Ronnie said that they would continue if he and Nancy had to give the tours themselves. The tours resumed the next day.
Don’t know if it’s true or if my memory is accurate. But a real President, not an Usurper, would cancel all his golf outings, family vacations, and any other personal frivolities to ensure Americans could see “The People’s House”.

FYI- I have a friend in Spearfish, SD and he has a brother stationed at Elsworth. He said moral is tanking.
I have heard rumors of federal employees being prepared for furloughs. But have not run across any information of substance.
Near as I can tell it's the same old BS, cut Constitutionally required functions, such as Defense, and bloat all the unconstitutional vote-buying, kickback, cronyism programs.
Of course, I don't have any strong opinions on the matter.

I’m a Vietnam combat veteran and you’re a veteran. It certainly doesn’t help us either, does it.
A lot of anger is going to be vented and it won’t be pretty.
My two civ employees are prepped to take one day off a week and deal with the paycut.
More fishing time at least.
But, that has not come to pass. Yet.
But, we are grounded.
Jets are getting attention for minor problems.
Troops are getting trained.
Pilots are stagnant minus sim time.
Weird time.
Yes. But I wish I could wash that image out of my mind...for more that one reason!

Makes you really wonder about the intelligence of the NORK’ws, Persian’s, Jihadis’ and all of the others. If they could comprehend basic economics and history, and had some rudimentary math skills, they would know all they have to do is lay low for 20 years and we will take care of ourselves just fine.
